I liked his account of being in the Japanese airport looking into a sea of Japanese faces. I have a similar moment in my life - when I was leaving Korea in the summer of 1989 to return to college, I looked out into the street and said to myself, "I am going to miss being able to blend into a crowd of people and to fit in perfectly."
